Sometimes one solution can solve multiple problems.
I needed a solution for unwinding before bedtime that I actually looked forward to instead of getting sucked into the “5 more minutes” screen time trap.
I wanted a way to make bedtime feel less rushed and more Jesus focused.
I also wanted a way to incorporate more art or hands-on activities.
And more discussion time about our day.
So we’ve started doing an activity at the table or in the floor in the evenings before bed while we listen on audio to the Bible.
It has helped way more than I ever thought it could.
Don’t overcomplicate it. I literally am just coloring with the kids at the table while I let the Bible play nearby. Sometimes we talk over it. Sometimes I pause it if they ask a question. Sometimes we sit in silence and listen together. Sometimes they draw or do a craft.
We’ve skipped it a few days due to revival at church and I miss it. I’m reinstating it tonight!!
